My Everyday Makeup Brushes

Hey Everyone! Today I am going to try something different so I hope that you guys enjoy this post and leave me comments below and let me know what you think.

Let’s Get Started!

Today I am going to be talking about the makeup brushes that I use on a daily basis. I have also filmed a video to go alongside this post. I will link the video in the post. I hope that you go and watch it and subscribe to my YouTube Channel that I have Started.

I have a huge collection of Makeup Brushes. I enjoy collecting them and trying out different brushes to see how it affects my makeup application. The Brushes that I will talk about in this post are the ones that I grab for on a daily basis and have quickly become my Favorites.

Face Brushes:

Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki: This brush changed how I looked at how my foundation was applied. Prior to purchasing the F80 brush I would apply my foundation with sponge applicator or my fingers. The F80 Brush allows for an even application and creates and air brushed finish to your skin. There are a lot of Bristles in this brush and it is very dense. This brush alone has forever changed my makeup routine.

Rite Aide Renewal Powder Brush: I stumbled across this brush on accident at Rite Aide. I believe that it retails for around $8 or $9 at Rite Aide. This brush is very fluffy and applies powder or bronzer very even over the entire face. I especially love this brush because of the way that it holds its shape after each time that I wash it. This is a great hidden gem at the drug store. I would recommend you to purchase it if you are able to get your hands on it.

Walmart Blush Brush: This brush has been talked about by YouTubers EmilyNoel83 and KristenGehm. I found this brush at my local walmart and I believe it was between $3 or $4. The brush has a lot of bristles and picks up a TON of product when dipped into the blushes. The shape of the brush is angled and I feel that it is the perfect size for sweeping the color across the cheek bones. After I washed this brush a few times I was really impressed of the quality of the brush because it held its shape and there was no fallout for the bristles.

real Techniques Blush Brush: This brush can be purchased at Ulta or online. I believe it retails for around $12 or $13. It is a domed shaped brush with a pink and black handle. I have used this brush for blush, but when I used it for blush I found that it did not pick up the product very well. So I have found that when I use it for highlighting or contouring that it picks up the perfect amount of product. The dome shaped brush head make it perfect for applying the bronzer under your cheekbone for contouring.

Sigma Large Angle Contour F40: This brush is very similar in shape to the Walmart brush, however this brush has a smaller head of bristles. I use this brush strictly for contouring. This brush much like the real techniques blush brush, is the perfect size to get under the cheekbone and bring the bronzer back up to the hair line. It also has a dense enough set of bristles to make it very easy to blend the bronzer into the skin. I purchased this brush in the Sigma Make me Cool set.

Eye Brushes:

Real Techniques Shading Brush: This brush is purple with a black handle and I believe retails for around $9 or $10 at Ulta. I use this brush for applying my brow bone highlight and my inner corner tear duct area color. I like this because the bristles are very fluffy and they do not pick up a lot of color. The bristles are very soft and this makes it very easy to blend the eye shadows out. I also like this brush because it is very thin and small, this makes it very easy to travel with.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Brush from Naked 2 Palette: This brush came with the naked 2 palette. It is a great eye shadow brush. It is not very dense, however it picks up a lot of color. I enjoy using this brush to make on the eye shadows onto the lid. It does not do well with blending, but packing on color is the best use for it. The brush itself is very heavy for a makeup brush, but I feel that just justifies the quality of the brush.

Sigma Precision Flat P80: This is the baby of the F80 that I spoke about earlier. This literally is the same brush just in a smaller size. This brush is perfect for applying concealer under the eye and around the nose. I also use this brush to wipe away fall out from eye shadows around my eyes. GREAT PURCHASE and I would recommend to everyone.

Sigma Pencil E30: This is just a standard pencil brush that I use to bring the eye shadows down onto the lower lash line. I also purchased this brush in the Sigma Make me Cool Set.

Sigma Medium Angled Shading E70: I have what I call Semi Hooded eyelids, this brush is great for applying shadows into the outer corner of the lid and blending them up into the crease. This was purchased in the Make Me Cool Set from Sigma.

Sigma Eye Shading E55: This brush is much like the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Brush, in the sense that it is good for applying and packing color all over the eyelids. I do not use it for any other purpose, other than packing the color onto the lid. This was purchased in the Make me Cool Set from Sigma.

Sigma Tapered Blending Brush E-40: This brush has become my holy grail eye shadow brush. I use this brush clean to blend all over the lid and I use this brush with shadows on it to blend into my crease or blend out my transition color. This brush is so fluffy and it the perfect size for any shape or size eye. I also purchased this brush in the Make Me Cool Set from Sigma.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and dont forget to head over to my brand new YouTube channel and check out the video that goes along with this post.

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly vs. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Just Beige (Limited Edition Shade)

Hey Everyone!
Today I am excited to share my thoughts with you on a couple of products! So Lets Get Started……

Mac Painterly Paint Pot vs. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Just Beige

So everyone that is apart of the beauty community has to have heard about Mac Paint Pots and Maybelline Color Tattoos, if you haven’t heard of either one of these products, crawl out from under the rock you have been living in and go get you some!!!

Anyways, I have used Mac’s Painterly Paint pot for about a year now. Painterly is a nude/skin toned cream eye shadow that Mac has had out for it seems like forever. I use this almost like a primer before applying my eyeshadow each day. I feel like it gives my eye shadows something to stick to and allows for the shadows pigmentation to shine through. I absolutely love this product, once I began using it I quickly realized that I would not use anything else for an eyeshadow base. Painterly is matte, which i believe is what allows the pigmentation of the eye shadows to come through, because the shadows are not competing with any shimmer from the paint pot.

Maybelline Color Tattoos have been out for a while now and I have to say that I am HUGE collector of them. I have all of the regular shades as well as when they release the limited edition shades I purchase them!. I like the color tattoos because I think they give a great, inexpensive alternative to Mac’s Paint Pots. The color tattoos are very pigmented and they come in a wide variety of shades. This fall Maybelline has come out with a Limited Edition shade in the Color Tattoos called “Just Beige”, when I discovered this shade at CVS a light went off in my head…...Let’s see how this stacks up to Painterly Paint Pot!!!

Check out my Trusty Compare and Contrast Bubble! I like doing this because I feel it gives an easier way to look at what is good and bad when comparing 2 beauty products.
Just Beige on the left and Painterly on the right

Well I hope that you liked this post! I enjoyed comparing the two. I do have to say that this is a great alternative to the Mac Paint Pot in Painterly, however I do not think I would replace it with the Color Tattoo in Just Beige, just for the one simple fact that it is not as creamy when applied as Painterly. If you are able to get your hands on it give it a try, it’s definitely good to have in your collection!

Thanks for following my Blog!

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm and Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Review!!

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to be doing a review for you of the New Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm’s and the Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm’s. I hope you all enjoy and as always please feel free to leave any questions or comments below!

Let’s Get Started…

Today on my Lunch break from work I had to run into CVS to pick up an item and of course I cannot go into a drugstore without looking through the Cosmetics section. Just as I was realizing that there wasn’t really anything new that I just had to have..... I stumbled across the Revlon Lip Balms. I was intrigued because the packaging was a slightly different than the Original Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, however it just enough to where you could have easily over looked them, but different enough to notice .... if that makes sense?!?!

Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm:

I believe that there are 8 shades to choose from in this line. I am not 100% sure on that, I was just so excited I forgot to count. The shades range from nudes, to corals, berries, reds, plums, and oranges. I chose 4 of the shades, I would have got them all but I know I wouldn’t wear some of the colors.

I chose # 205 Elusive, #210 Unapologetic, #220 Showy, and # 225 Sultry.

The packaging as I stated earlier is very similar to the original Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. The only difference in this packaging is that the color of the outside of the crayon is a matte shade. There is no shine on the packaging except at the bottom where you twist the product up.  The staying power of these are also very similar to the original Kissable Balm Stains, they do stain your lips and that makes for a long wearing lip product. These shades are suppost to be very matte, which I believe they are. When you take the cap off the looks of this product may appear that they have some shine to them, however when applied or swatched they come off completely matte. I do feel that you have to build up the color on your lips, one coat will show color on my lips, however two coats gives me what I think is the look that Revlon was trying to achieve. As far as the application of the product they are very easy to apply and I feel come off very easy with a makeup remover wipe. When having them on the lips they do feel very soft and smooth with no stickiness to them. They also have a slight minty smell which is kind of pleasant.

I am very happy with this purchase and I am so in love with the shades that I chose! I would recommend this to anyone and I would defiantly repurchase this product.

Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm:

These are also very similar to the Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains and the Matte Balms; however the packaging is a really cool high shine exterior. It is really pretty to look at and I think would be really pretty to carry in a purse. These also have a twist up bottom in order to get more product out, and they also have the nice slightly minty smell to them. This balm stain differs from all of the other because it is EXTREMELY HIGH SHINE! I mean wowzers! It is shiny! They do have a little bit of shimmer in them; however because of the amount of shine in the product you can barely see the shimmer on your lips. I love these too, the shades are absolutely gorgeous. Like the Matte Balm’s there were also around 8 Shades, but again I only Purchased 5 of them because I wouldn’t wear all of the shades that they offered. They are all very smooth on the lips and again like the others don't feel very sticky.

I also love these balm stains, I would recommend these to anyone also. I would probably repurchase these just for the fact that they are so shiny that there is no need for a gloss.

I purchased:

#105 Demure, #110 Coquette, #115 Whimsical, #120 Vivacious, and #125 Flirtatious.

Overall I am really glad I found these balm stains! It was a nice little surprise on my lunch break :)
I hope that you enjoyed this post and again feel free to leave comments below!
Thanks Again!!!

Tarte Stop and Stare Gift Set

Hey Everyone! Today's Blog Post is going to be over Tarte's Stop and Stare Gift Set. I was really excited when I purchased this from Ulta that I wanted to share my thoughts with you guys! I hope you enjoy.

As always Feel Free to Leave Comments Below and Don't forget to follow me on Twitter @allightbeauty1 & Facebook!! www.facebook.com/allnightbeauty

Lets Get Started!

Tarte Stop and Stare Gift Set

This gift set was purchased at Ulta for $39.00, the packaging says that the retail value on this gift set is $115.00. As you will see later on in the post it is worth the price because of all the product that you get!

The gift set comes packaged in a green box with gold flowers on it. The packaging is very pretty and would make a great gift for the Holidays. I feel that anyone would enjoy these products and the shades that come in the gift set are all very wearable shades that would go great with any skin tone.

The Stop and Stare Set comes with 3 Skinny Smolder Eyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliners, 2 Smolder Eyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liners, and Deluxe Sample Size of the Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara.

The Skinny Smolder Eyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliners are as follows:
Onyx - VERY Black Shade
Azurite Green - Deep Jewel Toned Green
Purple Garnet - Deep Jewel Toned Purple with some Gold Flakes

These eyeliners are full size eye liner pencils. They are the kind of eye liners that do require a sharpener, which this is kind of a bummer because let's face it who likes to have to sharpen their liners. They are all very very pigmented. The liners are also very long wearing and waterproof because even with eye makeup remover it is hard to get the color off of the lids. They apply very easy and glide on very smooth. All three of theses eyeliners are very creamy and almost have a moisturized feeling to them.

The Smolder Eyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liners are as follows:
Taupe - Metallic Taupe Color with a slight hint of purple
Rose Gold - The Truest Rose Gold I have ever Seen!

These claim to be eye liners, but I could call them more of a shadow stick, even though they can be used as both. They each come with the smudger on the end which makes it great for using this product on the lower lash line so you can smudge out your eye look to have a more dramatic effect. Both of these shades are as pigmented as the eye liners and I think that these go on a lot easier and more creamier than the liners. Both Shades would be great as eye shadow bases. In particular the Rose Gold would be great to create some AWESOME holiday looks with. These too are water proof and were very hard to get off even with the make up remover. As well as being water proof these shadow sticks do require a sharpener like the eye liners.

Lights Camera Flashes Mascara is in Black - Very Very Dark Black Mascara

This mascara is Very Black. The brush comes with very long spiky rubber bristles that are really really good. I used this mascara for a couple of days and I have to admit it that I really did like using it. The formulation of the mascara is wet, but not wet enough to have to worry about having the mascara bleed onto your lids. The packaging of the mascara is super cute too. It is a gold tube that has a snake/crocodile skin pattern on it, making it look super cute and girly.

Overall this is a good gift set, as I stated above would make a great gift for anyone, especially someone that is interested in trying Tarte's products with out having to the expensive plunge. I would try to get your hands on it if you are able too before they run out around the holiday's

New Mascara Find at Walgreens

Hey Everyone! I am writing this post to share a new Mascara Find that I found at my Walgreens! I hope that you enjoy... As always Feel Free to Leave Comments below and Don't Forget to Follow me on Twitter @allnightbeauty1 and Follow me on Facebook www.facebook.com/allnightbeauty

Let's Get Started!

So When doing some Late Night Shopping at my local Walgreens I stumbled across the Colossal Smokey Eyes Mascara from Maybelline Volum' Express.

This new mascara claims to bring Instant Volume, No Clumps, and Create Smokey Dark Lashes. I am not sure how much it differs from the original Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara, but I thought why not give it a try!

So after wearing it for a couple of days I really did not see that much of a difference in my lashes compared to the original. I did notice that it did not cause any clumps on my lashes and it did bring a little bit of volume but no more than any other drugstore mascara would. I did notice that it did hold my curl on my lashes a little bit longer. The color pigmentation was a tad bit darker black than the original but not enough to make much of a noticeable difference.

I purchased mine in the color  Blackest Smoke and it was around $6.00 at Walgreens. As far as  would I repurchase this product....Probably not because there are so many other great drugstore mascaras that are out there, but I would recommend this one over the original one because I do find that the original one does cause a little bit more clumping than this new one did.

One Side Note -- I did find that this Smoky Eyes Mascara has a rather odd smell to it that none of the Volum' Express mascaras have, so I don't know if that has something to do with the formula change on this one or what, but it is very strong!

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick little review and I hope that you found it helpful! Please feel free to leave comments!!

Top 5 Drugstore Eye Shadows Worth The Purchase

Hey everyone! Today's post is going to be about the top 5 Drugstore I shadows that I think are worth Purchasing.

Please remember that these are just my opinions and what works for me may not necessarily work for you. With that being said, Let's get started.

As always please feel free to leave me comments below or on my Facebook or Twitter. I hope you guys Enjoy!!

Top 5 Drugstore Eye Shadows Worth the Purchase:

1. Elf Baked Eye Shadows: These eye shadows can be found at target, kmart, and most recently spotted at wal-mart. I love all of theses shadows. They are all very pigmented and have several great shades to choose from. My favorite shade that I own is in Toasted, which is a very shimmery copper bronze color. These baked eye shadows are great applied wet or dry and are very easy to blend. The Toasted shade that I mentioned is a great shade to wear every day and create some great fall looks. They retail for about $3 a piece and you get a good amount of product for that amount.

2. Maybelline New York Eye Studio Quads: These are nothing short of GREAT!! They can be found at just about any big box store or drug store. The quads retail for around $7 or $8 a piece, if you are lucky you can find them on sale for buy one get one 50% off. They come with 4 shadows that are a mixture of matte and highly shimmery shades. The shadows are each highly pigmented and are very easy to blend. The shades that come in the quads make for a quick easy way to get a great look as they all go very well together. These quads are very easy to travel with because all of the shades you need are housed in the quad.

3. Wet N Wild Single Eye Shadow in Nutty: This particular eye shadow is a Must Have Staple in any make Up collectors collection. This is the prettiest taupe shade that I have seen in an eye shadow and the color pay off is great. The reason I say that this shadow is a must have in any collection is because it is a great transition shade and is great for blending! There is a little bit of shimmer in the shadow, but it is not over powering and can allow any look that you are going for to have that little extra pop! I believe that it retails for $1.99 at most drugstores.

4. Wet N Wild Eye Shadow Trios: These trios are raved about all over the Blogger World and You Tube. BUT they are very much worth all of the hype that they get. The trios retail or $2.99 or $3.99 depending on which retailer you purchase them at. They are highly pigmented and are very easy to work with, especially if you are a beginner to makeup. They quality of the trios can be compared to higher end drug store eye shadows that L'Oreal or Revlon put out. The trio that is pictured above is Walking on Eggshells and I have recommend this particular trio to anyone as an every day palette to go to.

5. The Revlon Photo Ready Primer + Eye Shadow Palettes: This is a trio of eye shadows that come with a "primer" and a Shimmer that you can overlay the color. I do not use the primer or the shimmer out of this palette because I have found other products that work better, but the eye shadows are amazing. They are very creamy and work well with any complexion. The shadows are very easy to blend. This palette retails for around $10 or $12 at drug stores, which is a little on the higher end price wise but really worth it.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and I hope this gives you a little bit more insight as to what I believe to be worth the purchase from the drugstore when it comes to Eye Shadows.

Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Gift Set Review

Hey Everyone! Today I am going to be doing a review on a great holiday gift set that I recently purchased from Ulta. I hope you guys enjoy this review and feel free to leave comments below or on my Facebook or Twitter!

Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Gift Set

All of the shadows, blushes, and lip glosses are packaged in a gift gift box. When you open the lid of the gift box you have all of the eye shadow quads that are magnetized in the set, then there is a drawer that pulls out that houses the three lip glosses and the compact. The gift box itself is a purple color with gold flowers printed on it. The set retails for $48.00 and says that you are getting over $433.00 retail value. This set is a great set, if not one of the better sets that Tarte has released, just based on the variety of makeup that you receive.

The set is divided up into quads that contain one blush and four eye shadows. I like this because you can just pop the quads out and place them in the compact, this makes this set a very travel friendly set. I also really enjoy how the names of all of the shades are printed on the bottom of each quad, this makes it super easy to know which shades you like the best in case you are interested in purchasing the full size of a particular shade.

This gift set includes 16 Full Size Amazonian Clay Eye shadows in Limited Edition Shades, 4 Full Size Amazonian Clay Blushes in 4 New Shades, 3 Full Size Maracuja Lip glosses in 4 New Shades, and a Portable Compact.

The eye shadows are all very pigmented and are very soft, they apply smooth almost like butter when applied to the lids. They are very easy to blend, which is nice when you are trying to create a smokey eye look. The lip glosses are all very, very high shine and are not sticky at all. The color pay off of the lip glosses are sheer, but you can build them up to get the right amount of color that you are trying to achieve. All of these glosses smell very minty, which is nice and it's not to over powering.

The eye shadows are as follows:

Quad #1
Taj Mahal - Shimmer Champagne Shade
Grand Canyon - Matte Peachy Skin Tone Shade
Big Ben - Matte Muted Grey Shade
Central Park - Matte Hunter/ Forest Green Shade

Quad #2
Serengeti Sand- Shimmer Pale Pink Shade
Buckingham Palace - Shimmer Golden Brown Shade
Rocky Mountains - Metallic Gold/Orange Shade
Bordeaux - Matte Light Plum Shade

Quad #3
Santorini Bikini - Matte Creamy White Shade

Pacific Sunset - Matte Grey
Belgian Chocolate - Metallic Shimmer Dark Purple

Quad #4

Midnight in Paris - Matte Light Grey Navy Blue

The Blushes are as Follows:

Spontaneous (quad #3)
Lighthearted (quad #4)

Lip Glosses are as Follows:

Overall this is a great purchase for any makeup lover. The amount of quality product that you get for the price is amazing. I would recommend this for anyone to add to their collection. This gift set would also make an amazing gift for anyone for the holidays as they would enjoy each shade. All the shades are very wearable and you can create sooooo many different looks.

I hope that you enjoyed this post, as always feel free to leave comments below or on my Facebook or Twitter!

L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Effects Mascara Review !

Hey Everyone! This is the most exciting Post that I have done!!! I have been waiting and waiting for this product to hit the shelves and I have searched high and low for it. I was soooo Excited when I stumbled upon it at Wal-Mart out the blue when I was with my husband picking up some items that I needs for a trip I went on this past Weekend! So here we go! Let me know what you guys think and Feel Free to leave me Comments Below!!!

L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Effects Mascara
According to L’Oreal the Voluminous Butterfly Effects Mascara is suppost to be the latest to jump on the trend of the winged out look for the eyes, although I feel this is truly a one of a kind mascara. This mascara has a specially designed brush that has bristles that wing out on the end that make your lashes appear to be fuller and longer closer to the outer corner of your eye where you would traditionally wing out your eyeliner.

The formula of this mascara is very wet. So you have to be cautious when applying it as it is very easy to smear. I do like the formula, I feel that it did not run onto my lower lash line or under my eyelashes and I have had zero flaking. I have worn this mascara several times since purchasing it and the true test was when I was in a wedding this past weekend, I chose to wear it with my False Eyelashes to give it a true test. MUCH to my surprise it worked out better than I expected. I applied one coat and put the falsies on and then applied another coat to marry the lashes to my falsies. My pictures turned out beautiful and the look I was going for was there!! I chose the color #868 Blackest Black… I did not see a water proof formula but that is not to say that there won’t be one anytime soon. However at a wedding you know there can be tears and it held up pretty well, especially when the father of the bride gave his speech…It was a tear jerker!

Up close of me with the Mascara and the Falsies On
Just a little blip it of me and my 2 besties before the ceremony

The packaging is beautiful. L'Oreal chose to do a silver tube with black lines on it to make it appear as if the lines with the lashes. The brush and wand are of that plastic bristles, which I happen to like better than the other types of brushes that are out there. I think I Paid right around $7 or $8 at my Wal-Mart…. I was just so excited I totally forgot to look at the price.

Now for the Negative…. The only negative that I found is that the winged end of the mascara wand is only on one end. Which your thinking isn't that how it should be , well yes it should however I am right handed so it works awesome when doing my right eye, but when I switch to do the lashes on my left eye it can feel a bit awkward the way you have to position your hand and wrist. OTHER than that I think that L'Oreal Got it Right with this Mascara!!

I would recommend that you purchase it as soon as you can find it!
